Introduction

The GNSS-RTK High Precision Positioning Kit (4G Version) is an advanced navigation solution engineered to deliver 5cm + 1ppm centimeter-level accuracy over a wide 15-20km operational range. It operates on the principle of Network RTK (Real-Time Kinematic), utilizing an onboard 4G module to receive RTCM correction data from a CORS network via the Ntrip protocol, thus eliminating the need for a local base station. This multi-band (L1/L5) and multi-constellation module achieves rapid convergence in under 10 seconds. Featuring a flexible Gravity I2C/UART interface, it is designed for straightforward integration into applications like autonomous vehicle guidance, high-precision asset tracking, and geospatial trajectory acquisition.

Wide-Area Network RTK Coverage

This GNSS-RTK positioning kit moves beyond the limitations of traditional RTK. Instead of relying on a local base station with a 3-5km radio link, it connects to an established CORS network via 4G. This Network RTK methodology provides a vastly expanded operational area, offering uniform and reliable centimeter-level accuracy across a typical radius of 15-20km, provided an active CORS subscription and 4G signal are available.


Robust Multi-Constellation & Multi-Band Reception

To ensure high reliability and fast convergence times, the positioning module tracks multiple satellite systems concurrently. It supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS, and QZSS. Furthermore, its ability to receive signals on multiple frequency bands (including GPS L1/L5, Galileo E1/E5a, and BDS B1l/B2a) significantly mitigates ionospheric interference and multipath effects, resulting in a more stable and precise position lock in complex environments.


Simplified Deployment and Integration

A primary benefit of this 4G kit is the streamlined setup. It removes the significant cost and logistical complexity of purchasing, placing, and maintaining a physical base station. Deployment is simplified to inserting a 4G SIM card and configuring the device with CORS account credentials. For project integration, the Gravity interface offers selectable I2C and UART signal outputs, ensuring seamless connectivity with popular microcontrollers and single-board computers.

Usage Notes

  • Outdoor use: environments like under tree shade, bridges, and areas with strong electromagnetic interference can affect positioning accuracy. For optimal accuracy, try to stay away from such areas during use.
  • The 4G module requires a separate power supply via the Type-C interface. If not separately powered, the 4G module might initialize abnormally, preventing RTK positioning.
  • As the 4G module initialization takes some time, it is recommended to power the 4G module first.
  • Before purchasing a CORS account, please check the account's coverage area to ensure your location is covered. Otherwise, RTK positioning will fail due to lack of CORS coverage in the current area.
