Introduction

13.56MHz RFID Card is a passive NFC identification card designed for short‑range wireless communication scenarios where quick, contactless data exchange is required. Operating under the ISO14443A protocol, this contactless RFID tag works with most 13.56MHz RFID/NFC readers as well as NFC‑enabled smartphones. The card integrates rewritable EEPROM memory capable of storing application data such as identification records, automation triggers, or device pairing information. Durable ABS/PVC construction combined with a compact CR80 card form factor enables reliable operation in access control systems, IoT interaction points, and NFC development projects.

Reliable NFC Data Storage

This NFC storage card integrates 1KB EEPROM memory divided into writable banks, supporting flexible data management for multiple application scenarios. The rewritable memory supports up to 100,000 write cycles while maintaining long operational life, enabling repeated updates of NDEF records such as contact details, URLs, automation commands, or device pairing information. Such capability allows this contactless RFID credential to function as a dynamic information carrier in NFC automation, interactive kiosks, and smart device configuration workflows.

Permanent Unique Identifier

Each passive NFC tag card contains a factory-programmed 4‑byte UID permanently burned into the chip. This immutable identifier allows reliable differentiation between individual tags during authentication or inventory tracking. System developers frequently use the UID as a secure reference for access control, asset management, attendance tracking, and NFC-based login systems. The fixed hardware identifier ensures consistent recognition across compatible RFID readers and NFC-enabled mobile devices.

Stable Short‑Range Communication

Operating at the global 13.56MHz NFC frequency, this ISO14443A RFID credential supports contactless communication within approximately 0–5 cm. The short communication distance improves reliability and reduces accidental reads in dense RFID environments. Compatibility with common RFID/NFC reader modules and NFC-enabled smartphones allows seamless integration into embedded systems, smart access terminals, and interactive IoT installations requiring simple tap-based interaction.

Durable Standard Card Form Factor

Constructed from robust ABS/PVC material and built to the common CR80 card dimensions, this NFC identification card fits standard badge holders and access systems. The slim 0.76mm profile allows convenient daily handling while maintaining structural durability. Such physical compatibility simplifies deployment in identification systems, smart office environments, and NFC-enabled service terminals without requiring custom enclosures or adapters.

Common deployments include NFC automation triggers, contactless identification systems, smartphone NFC interactions, and wireless configuration of connected devices. The passive RFID card serves as a convenient interface element for IoT projects, embedded system development, and interactive installations requiring simple tap-to-communicate functionality.

Samsung A series users should be aware that they cannot format the card. I've managed to format it by using an older phone. Not all phones support formatting of NFC card. Once formatted card works great.
