SHT1x non-compatiblity with Arduino Mega?

Yesterday I received several DFRobot boards, including the Arduino Mega 2560, a Mega Sensor Shield V2.4 and a SHT10 Humidity and Pressure Sensor V2.

I have used the example code, but I have found that the these do not work together, giving error results for every reading (-40.01 for temperature in deg C and -4.4% for RH). These values indicate error in reading the sensor.

I have tried the sensor, leads and code with an Arduino Uno and it works perfectly. On the Mega I have tried many different digital pins (both PWM and not) and of course I have made sure that the code is compiled for the Mega.

Is anyone aware of a non-compatibility issue here?

thanks,
Richard

-40,-4.4%!!  you must be on the Mars! or the bug of the test, https://www.dfrobot.com/wiki/index.php?title=SHT1x_Humidity_and_Temperature_Sensor_(SKU:_DFR0066)  here, do you connect them correctly?
