DFRobot RomeoBLE Power Problems
Antipov Vlad 2015-07-03 11:46:13 4776 Views3 Replies I am experimenting with Romeo BLE v1 and the iOS App. I have two DC motors connected to the M1 and M2 ports. 9V battery is connected to the external power source port. I am thinking that I am experiencing under voltage issue. While connected to the board via USB (for Arduino IDE) and with the 9V I am able to connect to the board via bluetooth and control the motors via my iPhone. As soon as I remove the USB and try to run only on the 9V battery the board boots up and I connect to it via bluetooth, but as soon as I try to activate a single motor (5V) bluetooth drops. I am fairly sure that this has to do with the voltage drop when the motor tries to engage. Does anyone know how much power does it take to run the board itself? Also what are some other options for powering this board, what type of batteries? Thanks in advance.

9 v should work.
But considering it's a battery, I guess if it's in low battery? Or can you tell me the rated current of your battery?
For we always use our 7.4V @1A battery or [email protected] wall adapter without fail.
By the way, the board use 5V/ work.
