I have this driver hooked upto my NEMA34 5.5 amps motor. I was driving the motor at 24 volts (10 amps supply), full step, full current mode. When I apply enough pressure to the motor shaft trying to obstruct its motion using my hand, the motor starts vibrating (the rotation almost stopped), but the current being drawn goes only upto around 1.1 amps and doesn't increase beyond that (while upto 5 amps is available from the power supply for the driver to draw and keep rotating instead of vibrating). Is the current provided by the driver limited to 1.2 amps even for 4 amp dip switch setting ?
