Huskylens consumes too much power and gets extremely hot.

Hello everyone,

I have a question about the Huskyles (should be the smaller version). I never had a suitable project and so it sat in a drawer for a long time. Now the time has finally come to unpack them and use them in a project, but I came across a few things that made me wonder.

Firstly, the camera gets very hot (probably due to the processor) and the power consumption seems to be > 1A (face recognition, monitor at 80% brightness). At least the latter contradicts the specifications.

Is the camera broken (although it seems to recognise objects, lines …. ) or am I doing something wrong?

Oh yes, I have connected the camera in various ways (usb, to a MicroBit via 3v3 and i2c etc.)

Thanks and regards

Hello,

From my experience, the Huskylens can sometimes get pretty hot. If it functions normally and can communicate with the microcontroller that you are using, it will probably be okay.
