SEN0560 Material Detection Sensor / Serial communication specifications

SEN0560 Ultrasonic ToF Material Detection Sensor

 Is it possible for this sensor to output anything other than Hi and Low?

I think there is more information contained in the serial communication format.

I want to know not just whether it is hard or soft, but also its degree.

Does anyone know where I can find more information than what is on the wiki?
