Can anyone clarify for me; does the digital (signal) line need to be PWM at 38 kHz, or does this module generate the 38 kHz PWM?Thanks!

This is an Arduino IR Transmitter.We haven't used it on RPi before. In theory it should be OK. But you need do some research for the tutorial.
