It seems like RX / TX are reversed on the board from schematics :
On the board : GND / CTS / VCC / RXI / TXO / DTR
On the scheme : GND / CTS / VCC / TXD / RXD / DTR
RX should be the input of the FTDI board and TX the output and not the reverse ; schematics are right but i think you made an error on the board text
Is it done on purpose ? Even if it does, it's confusing

Hello, I Have trouble getting my dfr0065 to work. I have all the ftdi drivers and arduino drivers installed, and I'm sure that the breakout is properly connected to the arduino mini pro 3.3V with the proper voltage using the jumper. However my board isn't detected at all (not even unknown device) + there is no power LED on. Could you confirm that it's faulty ? Or is this a known issue that can be solved ?

Hi, I am experiencing a problem. I am unable to use the board to program my Lilypad Arduino. Upon further examination, it appears that the board does not even appear in Device Manager as connected to a serial port. What can I do to fix this?

Apologies to all, I am not at all very experienced with Arduino. I have the breakout board above (FTDI 1628-C DF840401 FT232RL) and have not been able to get mac os to recognise my Pro Mini 3.3/5V (Funduino). When I connect the Pro Mini directly to the computer, the USB/Serial connection is recognised, but can't upload.

When I connect the DFRobot breakout board, there is no serial port at all.

It's been an adventure for the last two days, without success:

Updating the drivers FDTI v2.4.2 [com.FTDI.driver.FTDIUSBSerialDriver (2.4.2)], CH340 v1.4
Finding my Port: /dev/tty.usbserial-A403CUA8 (direct connection, 4 -pin VCC, GND, TX, RX)

I'm really regretting buying clones at this point, but are hopeful that there is an answer out there as to why the breakout board isn't registering as a Port?

Using Port : /dev/cu.usbserial-A403CUA8
Using Programmer : arduino

Thank you for this, worth having a couple. Jumpers (a switch would be nice) are so much better that bridging lands and cutting tracks.

sorry, i can't program my arduino lilypad and pro mini, i tried conect to different ways to conect my arduino's but fails to download the sketch, for example: i connect Rx to Rx; Tx to Tx on pro mini.
in the lilypad without USB i cant program with dfrobot FTDI adapter....
is decomposed my FTDI?
i need install drivers?
my Arduino (Lily, Pro) is demaged?
Thanks and sorry for my writing... i'm Mexican xD

When you connect two modules together and connect the FTDI to USB port, is the port showed in the device manager? and were the leds on when connected to USB port?

How to use this USB adapter to program an Arduino card without serial chip, like the DFRduino Pro Mini V1.3(16M5V328), DFR0159... http://www.dfrobot.com/foru...

Hi, the schematic shows the chip RX and TX I/O pins, but the silk-screen should be the object pin name. So it will be reversed

Well spotted. However. RX, must always connect into TX. and Vice versa.

Yeah, TX is Transmit and RX is Receive, They are a couple
