The LED represents the working status of the sensor, you can check the wiki for details.https://wiki.dfrobot.com/Weatherpro...
JaneYu first of all it should be called as water-resistant or weather-proof according to your claims.
Also, if the same sensor is used in SKU:SEN0312 : ME007YS Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor (https://www.dfrobot.com/pro... how could you claim it to be IP67 rated?
https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
JaneYu IP67 refers to protection against short liquid immersion (immersion prevention) and does not mean prolonged underwater use.
There are two inconsistencies between this page and the wiki page of the product with two parameters: resolution and minimun distance. Could you clarify these two values? 1 mm or 5 mm for resolution? 20 cm or 25 cm for minimum distance? Thanks a lot in advance
JaneYu Does this sensor support the NewPing library?
JaneYu We have not tested with the NewPing library, however you can check our wiki out for this product which inlcudes sample code here: https://wiki.dfrobot.com/We...
How waterproof is 'waterproof' ? For example: can I use it in a pipeline with about 1 bar of pressure?
JaneYu Hi,
I would like to measure the filling of a bin, but the sensor seems to measure the side of the bin instead of the vertical direction (maybe for the large angle of detection?)...Is there any way I can to detect the vertical depth of a bin (for example 40cm diameter)?
JaneYu Where do you set the sensor, it is easy to be affected by the wall of the bin.
I was wondering do you have some more detailed specifications of the product or pulse width? Since in the product Wiki a minimum range of 25 cm corresponding to 150 uS was stated? However according the formula (and speed of sound in air) this range is 2,5 and not 25 cm. This range is in line with the HC-SR04 sensor. Nonetheless at least my sensor does not have that kind of range. Within the 20 cm - 4,30 m range i measure a pulse width from 1100 uS up towards a max range of in the 34000 uS. Beneath the 20 cm everything becomes 20 cm until within the range of 2 cm from a target. The pulse width then attains the max value of 34735 uS just like without any echo.
Please can you give more specs about this product since I also want to use it for underwater applications (should work in my opinion by changing the speed of sound etc)?
JaneYu HI, it is weatherproof, not underwater sonar...https://www.dfrobot.com/index.php?r... https://www.dfrobot.com/ind...
