What is the best sensor to use for distance measurement for tank water level ? SEN0208 seems good being waterproof, but you really want only a narrow beam of detection (eg 10-20 degrees) to avoid measuring the distance to the wall rather than the water level in the tank.

I have tried SEN0208 and the URM37. The URM37 doesnt last long in the humidity and SEN0208 has too wide a detection beam angle as noted above. Ideal would be optical distance measurement most likely but water proof.

I've confirmed my SEN0001 is working well with the software on the computer, but when I install it onto my device board run by an STM microcontroller, I sometimes get 9600 baud transmissions from the SEN0001, but sometimes I get 115k baud rate from the SEN0001, along with some frame error.

What could be causing my SEN0001 to be transmitting 115k baud UART occasionally?

Hello is this sensor pizoelectric or ceramic?

I'm facing it to wall, steel, mirror but all give me the maximum distance is 200 cm.
I'm pretty sure at least the distance is 400 cm

#1. Is one of the large round components the temperature sensor and the other the ranging sensor, or is one an ultrasonic emitter and the other the ultrasonic sensor?

#2. In either case, which is which?

#3. Has any testing been done with ways to narrow the detection field? Placing a tube/funnel on the ultrasonic sensor?

#4. Below there is an answer stating the detection area is normally 60 degrees. Is that a cone (2D) field or a fan (1D) field?

Thanks.

Does the 0x22 serial command return the actual distance in cm without the need to perform any value scaling/conversion? If this is true, it might be useful to say "distance in cm" in the wiki since other ways of using the module seem to sometimes require some scaling/conversion.

Do you have tutorial with code examples how to use URM37 for raspberry PI

We don't have tutorial for raspberry pi, you can search using a raspberry pi with ultrasonic sensor, there are examples about how to use it.

HI,
1. If for example I choose to work on AutoMode and I send the correct command, does the URM37 stores this mode even if I turn-off the sensor? or do I need to send this command each time on setup?
2. if I want to change the detection interval higher then 25ms (e.g 100 times per second), can the sensor handle this? to do that can I use this command {0x44,0x04,0x0A,Check sum}; ?
Thanks!!

1. Yes. it will keep the mode when shut it down
2. We didn't test this before, you can have a try and see if it is available with short interval.

Hiya, what is the measuring angle of this sensor without using a servo?
thanks

Hi, I would like to ask if this ultrasonic sensor can output signal 4-20ma? or can it be configured to 4-20ma?
for example in a water tank I can control the level by using 4-20ma as their input values, cause what I saw in the specs its current is 20ma

This current consumption is less than 20mA, and to get the distance, it has no relation to current, why do you want to know the current consumption?

But this is URM37 if I m not wrong. I m asking for this specific model and if not then which model will suit my requirements.
Thank you.

I want to use this sensor for detecting obstacles and calculating distance. But my application requires good FOV so can you please tell me what is the exact FOV of this ultrasonic sensor? Please tell me if there is any other sensor which has a good FOV and range also.

Is it possible to get a free trial with this product? I'm interning for an aquaponics project that is working on create an automated site this summer

Sensors URM37 V4.0 we measure the dimensions of the boxes.
If we measure the length of the box located between the two sensors, the sensors are not working properly. Whether it is connected with the peculiarities of ultrasonic radiation

What is about SEN0207, it is weatherproof and detecting angle is less than 50 degree https://www.dfrobot.com/ind...
