can I use this together with the compatible solar panel and li-on battery to power my arduino with gsm shield, pH sensor, turbidity sensor, & temperature sensor and make it a standalone project?

You say this does not have over charge protection, but it says that it will cut off charging at 4.2 volts? What is the difference?

I'm new to this site, are you open source? I want to make this smaller without the mounting holes and terminal blocks, to match the dimensions of the DFplayer.

Hi,
I need to charge 3x3.7V 18650 batteries in parallel. Can this charger handle this? What is the minimum of solar panels I have to use in parallel? I have some 6v 1W solar panels, will they work ([Star Solar] 112X84-6 6V 200mA 1W)?

Will it also work with LiFePo4, 3.2V (Soshine) batteries?

When I plug my lipo in the board immediately begins to overheat. Why is this?

whats the difference between this and the solar power manager?

Hey Tay,
Unfortunately it does not. You can check out our related product here that does though : https://www.dfrobot.com/pro...

What about using step up regulator ? And my biggest concern is while using this charger will the charging be terminated when the battery is fully charged while there is a constant current draw from the arduino and prevent the battery from overcharging? E.g does it provide
a power-path ?

Can I use this board with 2x Solar Panel 6V 1W (like in the ESP32 Solar Weather Station project) to charge a tipical 18650 battery (for example 3.7V 3000mAh)?

The voltage of this battery is 4. 2v? The multimeter short-circuits the led light to check whether the lamp has a problem, or whether the battery without the power has been tested, can it actually be charged?

Does the 'PWR IN' charge the battery and supply the 'VOUT' or is the 'VOUT' supplied by the battery? Also what is the connector type on the 'BAT' terminal.

userHeadPic JaneYu

Solar panel connects to "PWR IN" and acts as power input, "VOUT" and "BAT" are power output ports. The connector type on "BAT" port is JST PH 2.0mm.

Please can you explain the difference between these statements. From this discussion you say: "Yes, you can charge the battery and power ESP8266 at the same time." but in the FAQ it states: "Q. Can I charge my lipo with a battery, and charge an arduino at the same time? A. Not recommanded! [...]" Please can you explain why ESP8266 is different from arduino in this case.

Would it also work to to use a Li-ion battery, instead of a Li-Po battery?

Hi
Does the LiPO Solar Charger also prevent over discharge of the battery? If not do you have a product that can be put into the circuit to prevent discharge below 3.7V?
Many thanks

Hello,
what is the type of battery connector? JST PH 2mm?

Because our system has some problem, actually it is in stock now, you can place your order now, and you can email [email protected] to inquire about the detail.

HI, this is not arduino module, the problem is not the output I think is te module that did not switch correctly from charge to power out

I know, what I mean is to test if the charging function is good, you can give a power supply (from 4.4V to 6V, don't have to be a solar panel), and see if the battery can be charged

What do you connect in the VOUT socket, I think you just need to connect the solar panel to PWR socket and the battery to the white socket

HI I connected the solar Lipo charger to a solar pannel with the following features:
seedstudio
Dimensions: 70x55x3(±0.2) mm
Typical voltage: 5.5V
Typical current: 100mA
Open-circuit voltage: 8.2 V
Maximum load voltage: 6.4V
The charging led is red but I did not see the bat charging, I change the batt and the solar board but the result is the same

What could I do?

Thank's

I need 25 charger circuits . Is that circuit good to charge from 5V@1A solar panel to charge single cell 3.7V 10-12 Ah LiOn battery ?

The maximum charging current is 500mA, I don't think 5V@1A works for this module
