what's under the USB casing? Is it able to be opened to solder points into it? or will i destroy it trying?

Is it possible for us to change the cable? We plan to (hopefully) use this to charge up 1 Li-ion battery, or 2 L-ion in parallel , by connecting 1 or 2 TP4056 boards.
I see the below comments that you mention it cant be used in the rain. Is this because of the connector only?
