I'm testing this module but I don't understand the behavior :
- The switch is on "Hold" position,
- 3 of the for leds of charge indicator are lighted,
But the module turn off after several seconds.
I would like to use it for robotics and you have writen "DIY smart vehicles", did I do something wrong ?
Thanks.
Mine stopped working and reports no voltage from any 5v or 3.3v ports anymore. LED's do not light. I can still measure 3.6v over the button however. Any clues on how I can troubleshoot?
JaneYu Hello
Do you mean the voltage measured over the ON/OFF button? This should be the battery voltage, which should be above 3.7V for 18650.
Are you able to make another attempt after a full charge?
Could the leds be turned off some way to save power? 4 leds = 40mah while my device consumes < 1mah in deep sleep mode.
JaneYu Very sorry, the LEDs are not turned off in any way. You'll just have to remove these LEDs by soldering them, but this may cause you to lose your warranty.
I have the same issue with one of the two items I have of this product. Could you find a solution?
JaneYu Will this work with a single 18650 installed or must it have two installed?
JaneYu This product requires two 18650 battery installations to work properly.
If you want a single 18650 battery holder, please check this product:
Can this device support PCIFR 18650 3.2V 1500 mah. This is a Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery. Also can this device simultaneously charge and discharge
JaneYu I'm afraid this product can't support PCIFR.We only support 3.7V lithium battery labeled 18650 for this product.
This product can charge and discharge at the same time.
What is the current required to maintain a hold "ON" state? I am sorry but the documentation on this is really poor
JaneYu Hi, Is it possible to have an access to 3D view step and/ dimension of the DFrobot modules (position of screw, size ...)
JaneYu Hi, I have the same problem. My 2 18650 are fully charged at 4.18v. When I press On/Off button, the four leds lights up for 2-3 seconds and it switch off....Any idea why?
Thank you
JaneYu that's not a really "Hold" behavior, if noting consuming current is plugged (voltmeter to do the tests for example) it switch off. The question could be : what is the value of this current ?
Same happens with me. I have an ESP32 and LED strip connected. I had it working for a short period but extremely random. When I plug a power source onto the device to charge it, everything works fine, the moment I disconnect the power source the LEDs flash a couple of times and switches off
