18650 HAT Question

I am quite new to the open source pc hardware world and I want to build a portable device using the Sigma as the base for it. Would running a set (2) of 18650 Hats be possible if ran in parallel and if so what is the best way for it to be done?

If you're concerned about runtime or reliability, instead of paralleling two HATs, consider:
A single UPS HAT with 4x 18650s instead of 2.
A dedicated DC-UPS module with better load sharing or support for larger battery packs.
