Hi there,

I'm planing to build an ESP32-S3 based battery powered project.

Planed (main) products are:

→ DFR0559 Solar Power Manager 5V (https://www.dfrobot.com/product-1712.html)

→ DFR0975 FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3 (https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2676.html)

Q: Is it possible to connect like this:

LiPo (+) → Solar Power Manger (+) JST PH2.0

Lipo (-) → Solar Power Manger (-) JST PH2.0

Is this what you are meaning ?

If so, could the DFRobot Solar Charger DFR0264 be used instead of the DFR0559, with the DFR0264's VOUT connected to the Firebeetle's JST PH2.0 LiPo Battery connector ?

The DFR0559 has advantages over DFR0264 - higher max charge current, and being able to charge from USB (eg a powerbank) as well from a solar panel - but we don't always need the extra features.

Yes, it is possible to connect the DFR0559 Solar Power Manager 5V to the DFR0975 FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3 as you described. You can connect the Solar Power Manager's positive (+) screw terminal to the FireBeetle's PH2.0 positive (+) terminal and the negative (-) screw terminal to the FireBeetle's PH2.0 negative (-) terminal. This setup should allow you to utilize the AXP313A power management chip on the FireBeetle 2 ESP32-S3 for monitoring the battery without needing additional components.
