DFR0760 speech module to PC

I'm trying to connect the module (V2.2.0) to a PC

 

I have it connected to a USB-serial adapter (which is also powering the module)

 

Using terminal software configured to 115200 baud 8n1

 

Sending the string -  [h2]this is a test

 

Nothing happens

 

Please advise ?

What’s the power requirement of the module? Some USB-serial adapters don’t supply enough current (often <100mA). For Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, you may need a separate regulated 3.3V supply.
