CM4 IOT Carrier
chris.shaw 2025-11-15 00:17:47 22 Views1 Replies Hi
I'm trying to get the second network socket running on a PI CM4 using the DF Robot IOT carrier board.
I'm running Ubuntu Server 20.05 (which I need for compatibility to some other bits).
I've installed the r8168-dkms
But I'm still unable to see devices on the PCIe.
Any help would be gratefully received.

On the DFRobot IoT Carrier Board, the PCIe socket has a dedicated power-enable signal (PERST#) that must be pulled high.
Most boards handle this automatically, but check:
Jumper JP3 must be in PCIe position
If your board has a 5V or 3.3V PCIe power jumper, ensure it is not set to OFF
Check the DFRobot documentation for "PCIe power enable"
If this is wrong, the NIC will never enumerate.
