Getting Started with Maquuen plus v3, using python or arduino??
Robert.Gast 2025-12-29 10:24:58 79 Views1 Replies I just bought a macqueen plus v3, not realizing I needed to buy a micro:bit or unihiker board to go with it. I have never used a a micro:bit, I figure its like any other dev board though.
The problem I am having is with the actual robot kit, all the examples I see are in some visual scratch/blocks type language. On the macqueen v3 page it says it is compatible with micro python and ardunio. What is the easiest IDE to use with the micro:bit and the macqueen? What is the stm32 micro on the bot for? Are there libraries to access its functionality? Is there schematics for the macqueen v3, I cant seem to find any so i am not sure how I would know what pins the motors/encoders/sensors etc are connected to the micro:bit on? I feel like there would be a basic example showing how to program the the microbit with ardunio and control the motor drivers/count the encoders.
I would really like to make boards with different micros that can fit in the expansion slot and control the bot, but with out schematics and ardunio/python libraries I dont think that is possible.
It sounds like you're diving into an exciting project with the MacQueen Plus v3! For programming, I'd recommend using the Mu Editor for MicroPython, as it’s beginner-friendly. As for the STM32, it's typically used to handle various sensor inputs and motor controls efficiently. You might also find community resources or forums helpful for schematics and libraries.
