DFplayer mini 'pop' noise

Hi, I'm getting a loud ‘pop’ after I play an mp3 file

I can play several sounds together with no ‘pop’ in between them, it just does it right at the end when the last file has finished playing.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

I tried the capacitor, no change at all.

Tried other things too, inc larger PSU.

Is there a way to stop the amp turning off and on (i.e. have amp on all the time) ?

Thanks

Haven't used this one myself, but a few fixes turned up:

The auto-mute solder bridge on the back of some boards kills the pop — move it so the mute pin stays high until playback starts. Or pull the 0Ω resistor off the 8002 mute pin and wire it to a GPIO for software control.
