Waterproof Lux Sensor (SEN0644) Lifespan

Hello,

Is there any information on the expected lifespan of a SEN0644 that is fully submerged?

I am interested in using this sensor to measure light underwater in a hydroponic greenhouse so it would remain permananetly submerged after initial deployment.

Any info is appreciated, thanks.

The docs list IP68 and say it can be completely immersed, but I didn't see a specific lifespan . Working range is -40°C to +80°C, draw is <10mA, so the electronics side is solid.
For 24/7 submersion in a hydroponic tank, the cable gland seal is usually the thing that ages first, not the sensor itself. You can start the project first and use it temporarily.
