Subject: [Technical Support] SEN0581 COM Port Not Recognized / Reset Issue

Dear DFRobot Technical Support Team,

I recently purchased the SEN0581 (3D ToF Depth Camera) and am currently experiencing an issue connecting it to a Windows PC.

Initial Situation:
When I first connected the device to my Windows PC via USB, it was correctly recognized as a COM port.

Issue:
After operating the physical buttons on the device, the COM port disappeared from the Windows Device Manager and is no longer recognized.

Current Device Status:
- The screen is currently displaying "BIN", "UNIT", and "AE" (operation/display mode).
- Pressing or holding the buttons does not seem to open a system setup menu or change the output back to USB mode.
- I am unable to perform a factory reset or restore the connection.

Could you please provide guidance on how to force a factory reset or switch the output interface back to USB mode so that the PC can recognize the COM port again?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

You can upload some pictures, such as the normal wiring, the status of the device manager, etc. This way, everyone can better assist you in making the judgment.

In such a situation, you should first confirm whether it is truly impossible to scan the COM port.Plug it in over USB and check Device Manager for a new COM port or Unknown device. To restore the connection: unplug and re-plug the cable, open Comtool , select the port, click Open, and make sure the "USB" toggle is ON — when on, Comtool shows "Connected" .
