Custom carrier board USBC video capabilities

I am designing a custom carrier board for the lattepanda Mu module.  I want the board to have a USBC port that carried the display capabilities.  I note that the Mini carrier board has sample circuits for this function.  One thing is the IT8851 device.  Does anyone know which variant of this part is used and what firmware needs to be loaded.  Are the parts available pre programmed or do we need to program them with firmware compatible with the Mu module.
