Wifi v2.1 with arduino mega
Account cancelled 2012-07-25 15:30:34 4298 Views1 Replies I've got the wifi 2.1 shield connected to an arduino mega with power running to it. I'm having two issues. First, When I do a scan of access points, it shows nothing even though there are definitely networks around me. I know that these access points are working properly and are visible.
Second, Is there really know way to use the AT + WEAPCONF command even though you guys advertised that ability in the board? There's no way to do it without having a custom firmware made?

Sorry about the WEAP feature, unfortunately the manufacturer has not provided us with the firmware. We have requested it multiple times.
As for the problems with your Shield not seeing any SSIDs, are you sure the antenna is properly installed and tightened?
How much power are you providing? Have you tried providing additional external power. Probably about 7V, 1A would be enough for this board.
Try to define a specific name for one of the access points, see if it will allow you to connect to it that way.
