For the ecoduino board:

I would like to know can we use the arduino UNO software for programming the board? if not then which arduino board software can i use?

Also for wireless programming modules do i need to buy the Xbee shield for arduino or is it already built into the board it doesnt mention? and for the other wireless programming module an XBee USB adaptor V2 is already there!

Are these wireless programming modules enough for wireless communication or do we need the XBee 1mW Wire Antenna? does it need to be mounted on top of the programming module?

I am not very familiar with arduino and how it functions

We have a lot of on going projects and the micro for this application is low priority at the moment since you can still get the same functionality out of an Arduino with a few other components.

2012-10-16 20:41:27 Hi,

I think Lauren means that we are currently out of stock, and we don't know when we will have more back in stock, since we are working on V2 of this board.

Sorry i didnt understand you what mayb out of stock for a long time? the software? :-\
And also when will the version 2 come out? should i wait for it to come out before programming the board? what technical difficulties will i face if i use the current version available on the arduino website for arduino UNO?

2. The pinout and the working voltage of the Wireless programming module is the same as the one of Xbee. So if you gonna to remote program the Arduino, you need stack the WPM on the Xbee shield or IO Expansion shield V5.

3. The WPM is designed for programming Arduino boards remotely without cable in the full system application. So the wireless communication is not far. I guess it could achieve a stable wireless communication in side of 10m. So it depends on your requirement of communication distance.

4. The arduino community supplies lots of libraries and source for different application. So I think it's worth to learn and try.
