Gravity: Analog AC Current Sensor enables convenient AC current monitoring without cutting wires or modifying existing circuits. The measurement solution combines an open‑type current transformer probe with a signal conversion module that outputs an analog voltage readable by common microcontroller platforms. Simply clamp the probe around a live AC wire and connect the 3.5 mm plug to the conversion board to obtain a proportional signal representing current flow. This non‑invasive electrical monitoring module supports quick deployment in energy monitoring projects, appliance diagnostics, and equipment supervision systems involving AC loads such as AC motors, lighting equipment, and compressors.
Non‑Contact Current Measurement for Safer Monitoring
An open‑type transformer clamp allows AC current measurement without direct electrical contact. The sensing probe simply clips around a conductor, eliminating hazardous wiring modifications or soldering work. This inductive measurement approach improves electrical safety while maintaining stable signal acquisition. Such characteristics make the clamp‑style current detection system suitable for household appliances, industrial equipment monitoring, and quick diagnostic setups where circuit interruption is undesirable.
Analog Output Designed for Microcontroller Integration
The included signal conditioning board converts the transformer output into a stable analog voltage range of 0.2–2.8 V, allowing direct reading through common development platforms. Compatibility with 3.3 V and 5 V logic simplifies integration with embedded systems including Arduino development boards and other microcontroller platforms. The Gravity interface further streamlines wiring using a standard PH2.0‑3P connector for rapid prototyping.
Flexible Measurement Range for Appliance and Equipment Monitoring
The transformer probe supports a linear 0–10 A AC current range with high accuracy and low non‑linearity, making the sensing assembly suitable for a variety of monitoring tasks. Household electrical loads, lighting circuits, and small industrial equipment can be analyzed through simple clamp‑on measurement. The extended frequency range from 50 Hz to 1 kHz also allows reliable monitoring of common AC power environments.
