Introduction

Gravity LED Switch Button is a compact illuminated push-button module designed for interactive electronics and embedded control projects. The board integrates a built‑in LED indicator and a mechanical self‑locking switch, allowing clear visual feedback whenever the button state changes. Operating from 3.3–5V, this gravity‑series digital input module connects directly to popular development platforms such as micro:bit controllers and other microcontroller systems. The illuminated push button combines simple digital signal output with clear status indication, making this hardware component a practical interface element for prototyping control panels, interactive gadgets, and educational electronics builds.

Note: The module comes with self-lock function. When the button is pressed down, the module outputs High, and the LED lights up. When being pressed again, the module outputs Low and the LED turns off.

Integrated LED Status Feedback

An internal LED indicator illuminates whenever the push button is engaged, providing immediate visual confirmation of the switch state. This illuminated interface component simplifies debugging and interaction design in embedded systems by clearly showing whether a signal is active or inactive. Compared with ordinary mechanical buttons, the LED‑lit control module improves usability in dim environments and enhances human‑machine interaction. The indicator also supports panel‑style projects such as custom keyboards, interactive consoles, and illuminated control boards where visual feedback improves operation clarity.

Self‑Locking Toggle Mechanism

The built‑in self‑locking mechanism enables toggle-style operation rather than momentary triggering. A single press activates the circuit and outputs a HIGH digital signal while illuminating the LED; pressing again releases the lock, returning the signal to LOW and turning the indicator off. This behavior allows the digital switch module to function similarly to a latch or power toggle within electronic systems. Such functionality is especially useful for mode selection, playback control panels, or recording triggers where persistent on/off states are required.

Gravity Interface for Rapid Prototyping

A PH2.0‑3P Gravity connector enables quick wiring and reliable signal connections without soldering. This plug‑and‑play digital input board integrates smoothly with educational controllers and prototyping platforms, reducing wiring complexity during rapid development. The gravity‑series sensor format also improves compatibility with expansion shields and standard sensor cables. Such hardware convenience makes the illuminated button module suitable for classroom experiments, maker prototypes, and interactive system builds requiring stable digital input and simple mechanical control.

This illuminated self‑locking switch module fits a wide range of creative electronics scenarios including interactive installations, backlit keyboard projects, music player control panels, recording triggers, and experimental human‑machine interfaces. The compact digital input board provides both functional switching and clear visual status indication, making the component particularly valuable in STEM Education environments, maker workshops, and embedded system prototypes where intuitive physical interaction is required.
