RS485 UV Sensor is engineered for accurate measurement of ultraviolet radiation intensity and UV index within the 290–390nm spectral band. Built around a photoelectric detection element and an industrial‑grade microprocessor, this ultraviolet monitoring module delivers stable, repeatable environmental data for outdoor and industrial deployments. The RS485 communication interface using Modbus‑RTU enables seamless integration with Arduino controllers and other embedded systems through interface adapters such as the TTL to RS485 module. A wide DC 5–30V supply range and sealed aluminum housing further position this industrial UV measurement sensor for environmental monitoring stations, agricultural analysis platforms, and scientific instrumentation.
High‑Resolution Ultraviolet Measurement
This industrial UV detection module measures ultraviolet intensity across a 0–15mW/cm² range while simultaneously reporting a UV index from 0–15. A fine resolution of 0.01mW/cm² enables detailed observation of ultraviolet fluctuations in natural sunlight or controlled laboratory environments. Coverage of the 290–390nm wavelength band ensures reliable detection of both UV‑A and portions of UV‑B radiation, supporting environmental observation, radiation exposure studies, and solar energy analysis where consistent UV monitoring data is required.
Industrial Aluminum Housing with IP67 Protection
This environmental UV sensing device features a rugged aluminum alloy enclosure designed for long‑term outdoor operation. An IP67 protection rating shields internal electronics from dust ingress, rain, and harsh environmental exposure, enabling dependable data collection in weather stations, agricultural fields, or photovoltaic installations. The sealed metal structure also improves durability against mechanical stress and temperature variation, ensuring stable sensing performance even in demanding industrial or environmental monitoring deployments.
Flexible Integration via RS485 Modbus Communication
This RS485 ultraviolet sensing unit communicates using the widely adopted Modbus‑RTU protocol, enabling reliable long‑distance data transmission in industrial monitoring systems. Compatibility with microcontroller platforms through interface adapters simplifies integration into data loggers, automation equipment, and embedded environmental monitoring networks. The wide DC 5–30V operating range allows flexible power sourcing from common industrial supplies, remote monitoring stations, or renewable‑energy‑powered sensing nodes.

The sensor works as expected. Easy to use (Currently use with a TinyClr device C#). I also want the I gave a one start to another product (RS485 Light sensor) because I thought I ordered the I2C version of the sensor. (and of course could not connect to the device). When I realize this was the RS485, connection was a snap. This one deserves a 5 start as well
