By performing distance measurements of the pool walls through 360° scanning at 6 times per second, VLS-H5 acquires high-precision point cloud data. When combined with SLAM technology, this data enables robots and other devices to quickly capture the contour of the operating area, supporting mapping, localization, and obstacle avoidance.

Enhanced Resistance to Strong Sunlight
The VLS-H5 features a combined hardware and software anti-ambient-light design, upgrading the standard tolerance from 100 KLux to 160 KLux. Even in swimming pools under intense sunlight, it continuously delivers stable, complete, and high-quality point cloud data, providing a reliable perception foundation for robots and ensuring cleaning, navigation, and obstacle avoidance functions remain fully operational.

High Accuracy, Turbidity-Resistant Performance
In clear water, the VLS-H5 achieves a detection range of over 5 meters, with a single scan covering more than 78 m² of pool area. Even in turbid water (NTU ≤ 4), it maintains an effective range of ≥1.5 meters. Combined with algorithmic compensation, it delivers accuracy better than 3 cm, ensuring precise localization, stable movement, and drift-free operation for the robot.

Compact, Robust, and Waterproof Design
Within a compact form factor of 75 mm × 52 mm × 53 mm, the VLS-H5 achieves IPX8 waterproof protection, enabling long-term stable operation at depths of up to 4 meters underwater. Built with corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant, and UV-resistant materials and coatings, it combines multiple protective measures to deliver a product that is easy to integrate, reliable in use, and built to last.
