2012-08-22 05:58:11 I managed to find a pdf how to do it, it all appeared to run fine, however I still seem to have the version 1.1.0.0 on, even though the original software I downloaded said it included the 1.1.0.5 version?
What I have figured with the WizSmartConfig program, is since it gives AT command errors, etc., start the scrip, then stop it, then start it again, and it seems to run. However I have to do it for every script it tries to run.

2012-08-21 21:56:55 Also, for those who are trying to get USB/Serial access to the shield again once set up, I have had no joy with holding the reset key for 10 seconds, then cycling the power, also not by pressing the GIO10 key twice.
Up until now, I had to follow the trick of running the wizard
However, if it is set back to USB on the jumpers, open Putty/serial connection as normal (115200 baud rate), and then press +++ in quick succession.
It should then give you access to reconfigure. Saw it in the manual somewhere.

2012-08-21 21:49:20 Hi Hector
Thank you for the assistance, I really appreciate it.
I am using the CISCO WAP610N as the AP. I can't actually figure out if it is a range extender, or router (but going for the router option, feel free to correct me). We don't use it to assign IP's though, we run the Wondows 2003 SBS/DHCP for this. However, I manually set the IP for the card, one that is not used by any other device.
We only use it to give wireless capabilities to some of our laptops.
I set up the board as per the tutorial "DFRobot WiFi Shield V2.1" by Frikkie Du Toit (Using AT commands/Putty)
The only difference, I didn't use AT+WWPA, I used AT+WPAPSK=SSID,password since I am using WPA2 Personal security on the AP. Also, as per the tutuorial, I set it up as a TCP server, not UDP server.
With regard to the DNS, I had to manually configure it (AT+DNSSET), I did try DHCP initially, however, because it can't be seen from a device further than the AP, I am thinking that is why it never gets assigned the settings (and hence again why I did it manually).
