Input Shield v2 voltage questions

I'd like to purchase the Input Shield v2 (DFR0008) but I wanted to verify its required voltages. I looked on the Wiki.
1. the operating voltage of an Arduino-compatible microcontroller would need to be 5v ? (example Arduino Uno or Mega 2560)
2. the operating voltage of a Xbee module would need to be 3.3v ? (example RN42XV Bluetooth module)
