HD audio via HDMI

My LP is hooked to an Onkyo receiver via HDMI and I'm using it as a media player for my HTPC.
Windows 10 says that the supported audio is Dolby and DTS - no HD formats.
I'm trying to find out whether it's an EDID problem and somehow Windows thinks that my Onkyo cannot handle HD formats (it can) or whether the Intel HD graphic audio does NOT support HD audio.
Does anybody know the answer to my question?
