Could you update the laser scanner, the one you link is discontinued

I'm really confused. I'm looking at this kit vs. the Hercules platform - which is $400 cheaper. The Hercules includes a dual 15a controller, lipo battery and charger and has a higher payload capacity. The encoders on the Hercules are just rotational and only on two of the four motors - but I could replace all 4 motors with the ones included here for $120. Can you please explain / justify the price difference?
