Does WiFi in LattePanda work without external antenna?

I can't imagine this not working reasonably well for anything at 2.4GHz that uses a u.fl connector. There would have to be the kind of active circuitry that wouldn't exist in a $5 antenna, or any really. Personally I use an antenna from an old router along with a u.fl to reverse SMA patch cable.

The new Latte Panda Alpha seems to use a smaller connector so I hope they make one of these with that smaller connector.

Can it be used for XBee?

The answer is no, the cases do not come with a place to attach the antenna, which is large compared to the LP at the stated length of 6.7 inches. If you have a dremel and skill, you could drill a hole either above the display connector or above the Micro SD slot area and connect it that way.

But will it actually attach and not dangle? The assembly instructions make no mention of it...
