Please add this to the documentation and some sample code and diagrams for ESP32 (Especially FireBeetle) would be nice.
Please explain why is there a difference?
For extra credit, show how to make it work on ESPHome.
JaneYu Copper chemically reacts with carbon dioxide, water, and oxygen in the air in the soil, and transient electrochemical reactions occur at the same time, which shortens the life of the sensor.
JaneYu Hi,
After a month continuously powered at 3.3v and in wet soil, all the SEN0114 used had no more plating on the branch connected to Vcc (the second branch is still fairly ok). See picture below.
Does someone have an explanation for why the corrosion is not identical on both branches? https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
Regards,
JaneYu The different moist level will affect different, did the sensor placed in the same humid soil? it's better to use Analog Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor- Corrosion Resistant https://www.dfrobot.com/pro...
Hi, is this resistance soil moisture sensor good for industrial use? The environment I plan to use this sensor is very hot(30 degree) and humid. I expect it to last 1 - 2 years.
JaneYu You'd better to put the basket indoor, if it is outdoor, you need to make a sealed protection for the circuit
