This looks like a really neat module, but I have one question: is there a way to turn off its output? I can probably wire up a switch to interrupt the current from the output, but I'd rather not because the switch would need to handle the high currents I want to push through this board. I've seen other boards (such as Adafruit's Powerboost line) that can have their output disabled by connecting one of its pins to ground -- is there any similar capability on this board? Thanks!

Hi, I'm using this module to feed up a lilygo device and it's working fine. But charging led status is blinking all the time even when battery is charged. Is it normal?
It only happens with a battery with protection installed. If I use a battery without protection, when is full charged, led status is off.
Thanks.

How can I get this to charge a 4.3v battery, it says in the datasheet that it supports up to 4.35v charging

Can this product https://www.dfrobot.com/pro... - charge and power connected device simultaneously (power usb device while in paralel charging lipo)?

It is recommended that you connect the batteries in parallel before connecting to the module

Total rubbish.
No low battery discharge protection.
Ran my 2000-mAhr Lipo with a 6-mA load right down to zero volts.
Logging battery voltage with slow battery voltage dropping - suddenly drops from 3.6-volts to zero volts confirmed by off-load battery voltage.
So £8 module plus destroyed £16 Lipo an expensive mistake.
Might do just as well with a cheap Chinese Lipo charger and a separate boost module.

Can I use this charger with 'Gravity: I2C 3.7V Li Battery Fuel Gauge' at the same time? If it is possible, how can I connect them together?

On a similar note, any 3D CAD compatible files for using this in our designs? Or at least drawings showing part heights etc?

It is actually possible, as long as the battery charge is not so demanding (the battery capacity is not big) or the battery is not entirely depleted.
Tested on my project (PoKodi), involving Zero WH with I2C LCD, I2S Audio decoder and 2x3 watts of stereo amplifier inside a pocket multimedia system. The battery is powerful 18650 Panasonic 3 Ah LiIon - the same that find application in cordless drills.

Can the USB output connector be removed or bypassed to allow hard-wiring Vout directly to the load? I have read that going through a USB connector degrades the maximum out amperage.

Hello.
Can You tell us which ones are the R1 and R2 on the board picture?
Thank You.

Hey Onder,
If you could kindly email [email protected] with your question, they could assist you better. The issue was resolved awhile ago therefore if you provide some context as to what exact information you'd like to know that would help out a ton!

Hello, is there any PCB layout file available for this board ?

Hi, the module works well to power my device (microcontroller with LCD) either just from the LiPo battery or when the power supply is connected to micro-USB. However, when plugging on unplugging the power supply my device resets as if there is a momentary glitch in the output voltage from the MP2636. This is not acceptable as the device must keep running when plugging in the charger. Please can you offer any advice or a solution to fix this issue? Many thanks. Mark

What is the maximum boost voltage I can get if I use input of 3.7v battery. Can it drive the arduino nano with bluetooth circuit.

If just measure the voltage of te battery, i dont think need a divider for the 3.7V lithium battery

Hello, do you have 3D models or high resolution top and bottom renders of this pcb?

I am about to start using this module with a battery that says that the standard charging current is 400mA and the maximum is 2A. This means that I have to choose an R_ISET that gives I_CHG=400mA, right? What happens if I leave the resistor that came with the module that gives I_CHG=2.5A?

The maximum charge current for the module is 2.5A, and the maximum current of the battery is 2A, you can charge it directly without the resistor, but the lifespan of the battery would shorten.

This product doesn't have over charge protection, please pay attention to the charging process.

Just a thought. Does your batteries supply enough amps to keep up? The draw on the battery before the boost stage is considerably higher than the output@5V. I don't have the figures here to give the exact data though. But at 2.5 A@5V I would guess the batteries need to output up to 3-4 amps. A few parallell mounted 18650 cells should suffice for that.
