Unboxing & Initial Experience with Huskylens 2

1. We recently released HUSKYLENS 2 firmware v1.2.2 and updated the MakeCode library, which include new features and several bug fixes. Please try updating first and check whether the issue still occurs. If the problem persists, we recommend temporarily removing the middle display expansion board, as it may cause compatibility issues with HUSKYLENS 2.

2. About the Wi-Fi issue you mentioned: could you please describe the exact behavior? For example, is Wi-Fi unavailable or unable to be enabled in “System Settings → Wi-Fi ”? Please note that Wi-Fi initializes more slowly than HUSKYLENS 2 itself, so it usually becomes available about 30 seconds after power-on. We would like to confirm whether this explains the behavior you observed.

3. As HUSKYLENS 2 has only been released recently, we are actively improving the software and adding new features. This may require firmware updates during this period, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Once the software becomes more stable, the latest firmware will be pre-installed at the factory to minimize the need for manual updates.

4. Regarding the system time setting: once Wi-Fi is connected, the device automatically synchronizes the time from the network. That said, your suggestion is very valuable, and we plan to add a manual time-setting option in a future firmware version.

5. For the selfie use case, we suggest trying the “Video Streaming” feature.

6. As for enclosures and mounting brackets, we are currently working on them. Once ready, we will open-source the STP files.
