Relay Shield 2.1, removing a relay, gaining back a pin

My current project only needs three relays, but could use the extra IO pin. Is there a way to configure the board to only use say, pins 2, 7 and 8?

Just unplug the jumper of the relay you dont want and thats it. the rest you can wire them as you like with jumper wires!
very convenient to work it with other boards / shields, right?
