    OMG… so it’s a 16x2 I2C LCD display. Functionally it works exactly as expected. Nothing special or wrong with it when it comes to functionality. But visually? OMG is it beautiful! I honestly don’t think I could ever use a normal blue/green backlit LCD display ever again after using this. It is a bit more expensive than the standard displays, but it isn't standard, and worth the extra cost in my opinion. DFRobot is known for quality, not for being cheap, and that definitely shows here. Great quality PCB design (like all of DFRobot’s products) and a sturdy metal housing over the LCD display as well. I attached pictures of a metronome project that simply displays the BPM number, but the pictures really don’t capture the full beauty of the display. I also bought the other versions and will leave comments for them too, but the “Black” background with RGB pixels is the winner in my opinion. That said, you may prefer the other variants, so make your own choice. FYI: For the black background version, there is a small color bleed over the black background. It’s not a serious problem in my opinion. It still looks absolutely gorgeous.
