RP-C18.3-LT Thin Film Pressure Sensor is a circular flexible pressure detection component featuring an 18.3mm sensing area and extended leads for convenient integration. The ultra‑thin film sensing element enables highly sensitive force detection while maintaining excellent durability for long-term operation. This flexible pressure sensing module converts applied force into resistance changes, allowing simple signal acquisition through common microcontroller platforms such as Arduino. Fast response speed, stable mechanical structure, and compact thickness make this force-sensitive resistor solution suitable for embedded systems, wearable electronics, and intelligent monitoring applications requiring reliable pressure measurement.
Ultra‑Thin Flexible Sensing Structure
This circular force-sensing element uses a multilayer structure consisting of a mechanical protective film, conductive layer, and nanometer-scale pressure-sensitive material. The upper layer contains the pressure-sensitive film while the lower layer integrates the conductive circuit. When external force presses the active area, the pressure-sensitive layer bridges the circuit and converts mechanical force into resistance variation. Such thin-film construction maintains a thickness of only 0.4mm while providing excellent flexibility and mechanical stability for integration into compact electronic designs.
High Sensitivity with Fast Response
The flexible pressure sensing board detects forces ranging from 20g to 6kg with extremely rapid activation. Circuit response occurs in less than 10ms, while activation time remains below 0.01 seconds, enabling accurate detection of both static pressure and dynamic force changes up to 10Hz. Output resistance decreases as applied force increases, simplifying signal processing through voltage divider circuits or analog inputs in embedded controllers and robotics control systems.
Reliable and Durable Force Detection
Robust thin‑film materials and conductive layers provide long operational life exceeding one million actuations. Stable electrical characteristics, minimal drift under static load, and wide operating temperature support from −40℃ to +85℃ allow reliable performance across industrial, wearable, and environmental sensing scenarios. The flexible pressure detection module also generates no EMI or EDS interference, supporting clean signal acquisition in sensitive electronic environments.
