Gravity: Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) & ALS Meter is a precision optical sensing module designed for accurate measurement of ambient light characteristics. This compact light analysis sensor simultaneously captures illuminance and correlated color temperature, providing reliable environmental lighting data for imaging, display calibration, and intelligent lighting systems. With factory calibration and stable sensing performance, the gravity-series light measurement module delivers illuminance readings from 10–10000 Lux and color temperature detection from 2700–6500K. Integration with controllers such as the Arduino UNO development board enables developers to obtain illuminance, correlated color temperature, and X/Y chromaticity coordinates using the official tutorial resources.
Correlated Color Temperature Precise Measurement
Correlated color temperature (CCT) represents the spectral characteristics of a light source and is measured in Kelvin (K). This calibrated optical sensing board converts environmental illumination into standardized color temperature data based on blackbody radiation principles. Accurate measurement enables reliable differentiation between warm lighting conditions such as sunset tones (2000K–3000K) and cooler daylight environments exceeding 5000K. Such precision benefits imaging systems, display tuning platforms, and intelligent lighting controllers that require consistent color reproduction under changing ambient lighting conditions.
Illuminance Intensity Accurate Detection
Illuminance intensity describes the luminous flux incident on a surface and is measured in lux (Lux). This ambient light measurement module delivers stable illuminance readings within a range of 10–10000 Lux with high measurement reliability. Accurate brightness data supports lighting optimization in photography studios, exhibition environments, and adaptive lighting systems. Reliable lux measurement also improves automated brightness control, environmental monitoring equipment, and smart building systems where consistent lighting levels are required for visual clarity and energy efficiency.
Compact Low‑Power Gravity Sensor Design
A compact 26mm × 24mm PCB footprint enables installation in space‑constrained embedded systems and portable devices. This gravity-series environmental light sensor operates across a 3.3–5V DC supply range with low current consumption of only 2.8mA, supporting efficient integration into battery‑powered hardware platforms. Flexible communication via I2C or UART simplifies connection with common microcontroller systems and embedded processors. Such electrical efficiency and small physical size make the module suitable for IoT lighting systems, portable measurement instruments, and embedded optical sensing applications.
