I think this is a big mistake, it should be programmable with just installing the board definition in the standard IDE. Please consider this. Thanks, Dylan.
Nice product, but it would be even nice a version with some improvements:
1. STM32 SWD pins exposed via JST/Pin header connector, for easy firmware programming
2. Integrated 6-DOF or 9-DOF IMU
3. Integrated 5V switched power supply for powering a PI or any SBC (With low quiescent current would be preferable)
4. Open-source firmware/library for easy ROS integration over USB or UART or even I2C
5. I2C exposed pins for future sensor expandability
6. Integrated voltage divider connected to some analog pin in order to read battery voltage from MCU
If anyone knows a module with 4 motors / 4 encoders support with some of that improvements, please share with us :)

JaneYu Hi,
1. The 7V~10V external power is to enough power for 4 motors, even if only have a 6V motor you can still use 7V power because there is a power chip, that can give stable voltage.
2. The motors occupied pins are not listed in the gravity pins, that means all pins(analog and digital) on the board are available.
JaneYu There is a problem with the motor Encoder pinmap, It is not compatible with board port directly. It need to change the cable order.
JaneYu I am unable to use the given example (product wiki page).I am able to upload the code on BLE Quard but motor does not moving. I am using arduino Ide 1.6.9 with windows 10.
Have received this warning (Arduino IDE shows this )
Invalid Libraries C:\Users\...............AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\BlunoM3\hardware\BlunoM3\1.0.2\PWM
JaneYu Yes, it does. but actually, I recommend Romeo BLE for DC gearmotor driver. Romeo BLE QUAD is more suitable for the motor with encoder. https://www.dfrobot.com/ind...
JaneYu Hi, thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure I have v2.1, what is the hardware difference between v2.2 and v2.1 that would make it compatible with the Arduino IDE now? This is a bit frustrating as I don't see myself using this board now unless I can modify it to bring it to v2.2 specification.
JaneYu Hi Dylan,
Be noted: The following hardware hacking may keep you away from warrant.
If you really want to use the official IDE, you can change R25 from 0 Ohm to 100nF capacitor.
