Xia mi Multi-functional Expansion Board for BBC micro:bit V2 is a compact programming and robotics expansion platform designed for classroom learning and rapid prototyping. Built around the micro:bit V2, this educational control board integrates multiple sensors, indicators, display modules, and motor drivers into a single 57×87mm layout. Such integration transforms a simple microcontroller into a complete experimentation platform capable of handling sensing, actuation, and visual feedback simultaneously. The integrated robotics learning board enables students and makers to explore electronics, embedded programming, and interactive robotics projects without complex wiring or multiple external modules.

Note: Xia mi Multi-functional Expansion Board only compatible with micro:bit V2, not compatible with micro:bit V1 board.


Highly Integrated Learning Platform

This micro:bit robotics expansion board integrates more than ten commonly used modules directly onto a single PCB. Built-in components include RGB LEDs, an OLED display, relay control, environmental sensors, infrared receiver, flame detection, and traffic signal indicators. Integrated I2C communication simplifies wiring while maintaining stable communication between modules. Such high-density integration allows learners to focus on coding logic and system interaction rather than hardware assembly, making the board especially suitable for classroom demonstrations, rapid experiments, and structured STEM Education robotics activities.


Integrated Motor Control for Robotics Projects

The embedded four-channel motor driver enables direct control of multiple DC motors, supporting applications such as smart vehicles and Mecanum wheel robots. Dedicated motor indicators visualize forward and reverse rotation status, simplifying debugging during robotics experiments. Additional ultrasonic sensor ports allow distance measurement modules such as SR04 or URM10 to connect directly. Combined sensing, motor driving, and display capability transforms the educational robotics controller into a compact development platform for obstacle avoidance vehicles, autonomous robotics demonstrations, and student competition projects.


Compact Design with Rich Expansion Interfaces

A 57×87mm board footprint keeps the learning hardware compact while still offering extensive expansion capability. Multiple GPIO pins, I2C expansion ports, and a dedicated HuskyLens interface allow connection of additional sensors, AI vision modules, and external electronics. Separate 3.3V and 5V GPIO groups support both micro:bit native signals and higher-power peripherals. External power input ranging from 5V to 12V further expands actuator capability, enabling this multifunctional development board to drive motors, displays, and sensor modules simultaneously.
