How to Make a Phase Box with MP3 Voice Module

DFRobot Sep 28 2018 719

I have some Crystal Epoxy Resin reminded from my last DIY project, and I don’t want to waste it. On the principles of thrift, I determine to use the epoxy to DIY a little stuff. Sometimes when you get depressed, you just don’t want to speak. I just got a UART MP3 Voice Module in my hand, so it occurs to me that why not make a phase box. If I don’t want to speak, the box will work.

Here is my work.

The materials you may need:

  • LED Lamp Beads
  • 7.4V Lithium Battery

This is the UART MP3 Voice Module. Plug it into the computer with a micro USB, and then it will be displayed in the form of U disk on the computer. Now we can alter the voice files in the disk. Remember that we should name these files as “01”, “02”, so that the program can identify and call them easily. This voice module is able to directly work with Stereo Enclosed Speaker of 3W 8Ω.

There are the buttons I got from arcade game.

Operation

Step 1. Make the case
Print out the case with small holes in 3D, write “ PHRASE BOX” on it with Crystal Epoxy Resin mixed with the green metal complex dyes, and paint some disperse dots as decoration. To make the whole picture look rich, I paint the dots that form an effect of sand piling up here.

Step 2. Mount LED lamp beads
Mount the LED lamp beads in the case. (Out of personal ability, LED bead is my prior option now. You can choose your preference. )

Step 3.Connect circuit
Connect the circuit in accordance with the description in the wiki of MP3 voice module. Power the device by a lithium battery.

The program is very simple. Just copy the program in the wiki and revise it for your requirements.

Step 4. Assemble the box
Install all the stuff into the case. That’s all.

Image a scene like this, one day, my colleague asks me “what’s for lunch? ” I just give him a glance and press the green button. “shut up”the box answers. Oh, no! I must have pressed the wrong button! Please be cautious to use it.....
